the coach said she'd have a chat to the leadership group and get back to me...
Friday I walked Hodge before riding to work...the ride was quite pleasant as it looked like it was going to be a nice day...
the stats:

the coach got back to me to say they'd include me in the 22 but not use me unless we had some injuries...I said no problem but stated that I would need to warm up as if playing and keep warm on the bench...
I attended FkF in my capacity as treasurer...it would have been a nice day to run...
had physio at 4:30 so finished work early...another good session with improved stretch in the Achilles but still not completely pain free and matching my right Achilles...he taped my foot up again so it would be right for Saturday...we discussed strapping for my ankle for my previous injury and he said it was a good idea but to forego any heel locks so there was no added pressure on the tendon...
the ride home was good too and not cold...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 7.3/59% (apparent temp 4.9)

Saturday saw our match v Belconnen at Holt #2...
my warm up wasn't too bad but I was still reasonably restricted...we lost one of our players before the game due to an injury she had picked up playing soccer so we were down to 21...
about 10mins into the first quarter one of our players went down with a head injury and I was called into action...down to full forward I went where I played the rest of the game...it was a relatively even contest until the last quarter where they kicked three goals to our one...I had two touches the entire game with my second touch being the last goal of the match...
one of our wingers had run into the 50 and had a shot at goal...it was a mongrel of a kick which dribbled along the ground at my defender who was moving forward to gather it only for it to kick over her head straight into my hands whereupon I swivelled and snapped the goal!...the swivel move tweaked my Achilles but it was worth it...
in the end we went down by 22 points (6.5-41 to 3.1-19) but were very happy with how we played given our performance of the week before...even better was the fact that we denied Belconnen a % boosting win for a shot at second...given we have played the top three teams in the past three matches, I think Tuggeranong is the team to beat...
after footy, I walked (hobbled) the back nine with Tammie and Suze before heading home via four caches...
I iced and rested my Achilles for the rest of the day/night...
this morning Hodge, Jodie and I went on a good walk - 90mins/5.87k - and along the way we meet some horses...Hodge isn't quite sure what they are but he went a bit closer to them than before...
the rest of the day was spent shopping - at Pete's (golf stuff) and for groceries....
