Lumpy...

Saturday with an afternoon game I could afford the luxury of sleeping in a little longer before taking Hodge for a nice longer walk...

our match was against Queanbeyan at Dairy Farmers Oval in Karabar...

we knew this would be a tough match as they are a physical side but we believed we could beat them skill-wise...I played up front - first quarter at centre half forward then moved to full forward for the second, third and half of the last quarter...I then spent the last half as a loose player in the backline as Queanbeyan mounted a comeback...we ended up winning 4.11-35 to 2.2-14...we had kept them scoreless for the first three quarters...

my ankle held up well but I managed to earn myself a very large and painful lump on my left shin THROUGH my shin pad, courtesy of trying to snap a left footed shot as the defence closed in...I think I wore someone's knee!...

after a quick detour home to shower and change, it was back to Amaroo Primary for the Jets' Trivia Night...the Mini Brains Trust (MBT) was a team of 4 (as opposed to teams of 8-10) and were happy to finish 5th out of 16...

today I had another sleep in (to bed late after icing my shin and watching the Hawthorn/Collingwood replay - I tipped the Hawks)...then Hodge and I headed out for our longest walk yet...just over 70mins/4.5k...we did stop all up for 22mins to practice some skills and have a drink (Hodge not me)...

then it was pretty much a restful day with some more icing!
