took Hodge for a walk with squiggle before dropping squiggle off and heading to Royal Canberra for the re-scheduled re-scheduled final round of pennant

with one player unavailable and another’s handicap rising, I moved from #5 to #3 …Bruce Cup is played off scratch so your handicap doesn’t come into it but I was playing someone whose handicap was two shots better than mine…

I started off well winning the first three holes…in the next six holes we won one apiece and squared the rest so I was still three up at the run…I had a shocker on the 10th then won the 11th…we squared the 12th then I lost the par 5 13th after two cracking shots before duffing my chip (oops)…

with 5 to play I was 2 up…I lost the 14th…then squared the 15th and 16th…

with 2 to play I was 1 up…I lost the 17th so we were all square with one to play…we were both on the green for 3 but my putt (~10m) was probably just over twice as far as my opponent’s…thankfully I sank my putt which put the pressure on her to sink hers and of course she did so we ended up all square…at least I got my money’s worth!

overall the team lost 3.5/1.5…#1 & #2 finished on the 15th and 14th respectively…#4 finished on the 17th…#5 was our only winner, finishing on the 17th and she had a hole in one on the 2nd, her first…

meanwhile our Brindabella Cup team beat Goulburn 3/2 at Gold Creek to defend their title…they headed back to the club to celebrate so I went home for a quick change…Tammie and I took Hodge for a drive so he could have a play date with Curie…

back home again, we watched the ICC Women’s World T20 final between Australia and England with Australia winning convincingly, chasing down England’s 105 with 6 wickets and 29 balls to spare…
