FkF #241...

didn't end up going to the gym yesterday (slack)...end up being too late to head out...

had a zippy ride to Kambah, wasn't too cold so no jacket...

was late in to work this morning as I did the school run...again it wasn't too cold so no jacket, however it was very windy...

all good things come to an end and so it happened with my sub 22 streak for FkF...we did run a longer course as the path up the hill to run behind the bbq shelter down to the finish was closed (I love that downhill finish)...we basically come back the same way we started but turned off on to the gravel path to the left of the drinking kangaroo statue and ran around towards the footbridge and then onto the path to the finish...

the handicapper was also hard on me, adding 30secs to my start time to take me to my hardest official handicap (I have started later when running late so that doesn't count!)...I was expecting only 15secs after finishing 6secs under the 36:30 cut off...needless to say, I finished well back in the field...

Cookie was there not wanting to miss two runs in a row - she wasn't happy at her new handicap either - 12:15 out from 11:30 - but that's what happens when you run a big PB!

Tim also decided he was actually running today - he was meant to start off 18:00 but started off 18:15 (too busy talking I guess!)...he said he was only going to run 4s but he cruised past me with about 1.5k to go to finish in 19:00...I didn't have my usual fast (aka sub 4) start today but the other ks were pretty consistent if a little slower than past weeks...it was quite windy in patches and I wasn't as comfortable as usual...Thommo (from Vets) gave me a gee up after rounding Regatta Point as he ran the other way...I managed to catch Cookie (25:48) with about 100m to go...looking at my HR splits, I don't think I was working hard enough!

my time was 22:28 which keeps my current sub 23 streak going at 13 but my sub 22 streak finished at 6 (which was my best ever)...this run ranked #35/241...

now I'm just hanging out for work to end so I can pick up my new car....zoom, zoom!
