yesterday, Pink Sports Day to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia was held in conjunction with Mother's Day...we played ANU at home for the Pink Footy Cup which was brought to the ground by skydivers...
it was a one-sided game score-wise - we won by 95 points - but ANU didn't give up and seem to have a better team than in past seasons...certainly they had quite a few players who showed some good skills...
I had a pretty relaxing day for the rest of it...mum & dad came to the footy as usual before heading back home with Tim & Erin coming over...
this morning I opted to go back to short pants on the bike and it was quite a pleasant (and speedy) ride in...it'll probably be a different story for the ride home!
footy training should be interesting, despite the margin, I don't think the coach was too happy with the way we played...with most appearing to be goal hungry in the last quarter (when we only kicked one), at one stage we had only 7 players outside our forward 50...
I'm due to be rotated out for the next game against ADFA which will probably have a similar scoreline to ANU...we really need to work on our structure so we perform better against the stronger teams...of course, these games are good for our percentage but that won't mean anything if we don't win some of the harder games...
