Bits 'n' pieces...

Saturday

played golf early, had 33pts so two over my handicap...

went for a caching ride around Amaroo, Ngunnawal, Nicholls and Gungahlin...left just after 4pm and it took just over 3hrs...found 10 out of 11 that I looked for...the cache I DNF'd was later disabled as it had been muggled...

Sunday

headed down the coast for some more fishing and to test out the rod I got from Tim for Christmas...

even though conditions were overcast, the fishing was quite good and it wasn't too bad on the water...

no keepers but we did catch a couple of Eastern Fiddler rays...

Monday

spent the last day of 2012 doing cache maintenance for Suze and finding the six caches I needed for 400 finds for the year...was a pretty warm day to do it!

Tuesday

first round of golf for 2013 was pretty ordinary - 30pts, five over my handicap...

Wednesday

second round of golf for 2013 was much better, 34pts, only one over my handicap which meant my exact dropped under 13 (12.9) for the first time since 2007!

Thursday

played tour guide for the munchkin...we covered Anzac Parade, the War Memorial, the Carillon, the Australian American Memorial (aka Bugs Bunny) and finishing with the globe near the Captain Cook Memorial Jet...

Friday

ran Customs at lunch...it was pretty warm...Cookie ran too with a 30 second head start...reeled her in and put another 10 seconds on her....

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 33.9/14% (apparent temp 31.0)
start time: 12:29pm
total distance: 5.01
total time: 25:42
avg pace: 5:08
total calories: 272
avg HR: 179

splits: 4:38, 4:53, 5:17, 5:22, 5:29, 0:02

not as slow as my first one back...!

spent the afternoon scoring at the T20 between the ACT and WA at Freebody Oval...WA won by 8 wickets with 21 balls to spare but both teams still have a chance to make the final if VIC lose tomorrow to NSW...

went to the baseball at Narrabundah (aka The Fort) and watched the Cavalry beat last season's champions, the Perth Heat, by 16 to 9....

today was spent scoring the one dayer between ACT and WA, this time ACT won by 6 wickets with 44 balls to spare....it was pretty hot...

tomorrow I'll be doing the other WT20 which will be my last weekend scoring gig for the season...just the PM's and ODI to do...

It was great to have Cookie at training last night! Hope it's not too long before you're back too.
