following yesterday's fitness assessment, my training program has gone through its usual re-jigging...today was, of course, Day 1...
thankfully the tricep extensions using the rope has gone (I really don't like that one!)...
and I have a new exercise I really like - the Arnie press...I do 2 sets of 6 with 7kg then 1 set of 20 with 5kg...gets nice burn happening and looks like it's going to do my shoulders the world of good...not that I think I'll ever do it with the same size weights used in the link!
I'm keen to see what my Day 2 program holds...hopefully the single leg squat jumps using the TRX system will be goneski!
I was surprised to ride through some small puddles on the way home as it hadn't rained in Civic...this made conditions a bit greasy at footy training...at one stage I tried to poke my finger through the ball trying to take a hanger, needless to say the ball won!
training has been starting earlier this week with the aim that people get there, run a lap and do some small skills work before the main session starts at 6:30pm...it's good to see some many people there after our meeting last week...the boys even snuck in some extra fitness work...last night ran over time as we did some stoppage set-ups, working the ball into the forward line...hopefully we can take our training paddock effort into the game against the league leaders, Riverina, this Sunday...
