Team Red rules!

sprinters night at the track tonight with the longest event the mile...temperature was good although it was a little breezy in the home straight...

three events for me:

6:13pm mile - 2nd heat, PB of just over 2 secs (6:32.7)...5th of 11...Brett did 5:55, Nadine 6:04, Janene 6:20 and Helen pipped me by 0.5 of a second!...I was sneaking up on her in the final straight when MC Maria let her know what was happening and I just couldn't catch her (it was very funny though!)...

splits: 1:40, 1:42, 1:41, 1:30

7:06pm 800m - 2nd heat, sub 3 (for the third time ever)....shot off like a startled rabbit and stayed in front until about 200m or so...finished 7th of 9 in 2:58.1

splits: 1:25, 1:33

last event for me was the Parlauf Relay...I was in Team Red with Gary (#1), Garry (#2), George (#3) and Kathy (#4)...there were two other teams (Green & Orange) plus Bruce running solo...

good fast running all round saw us finish 1st by 100m or so (yay us) in 15:20.4...Bruce finished just behind the last team in 16:14...

100m ~0:15

definitely my favourite team event on the track!
