Pole Dancing...

I just knew people couldn't resist commenting on the pole dancing aspects of Saturday's bonding session!....it's described as fitness with a twist!

Some of the benefits of pole dancing include:
  • Increased upper body strength
  • Tones arms, shoulders, back, thighs and calves
  • Builds core stability while creating a toned stomach
  • Improves coordination and flexibility
Here are the different classes run by fitsistas:

Powapole™45 is a 45 minute workout in a hurry class that gets straight to the point. Perfect for beginners or those ladies that find it hard to fit in the time to exercise, we will get you moving and burning calories in no time at all.

Tone and Pulse are beginner classes, you will learn basic tricks and combine them into a cardio routine for a great workout. You don't have to be fit or be able to lift yourself to commence any Powapole™ Classes, we will help you do that...just be ready to work hard and have heaps of fun!

Powapole™2 is designed for ladies who have already completed at least one Term of Tone or Pulse (preferably two Terms) and want to continue working out at a higher level for maximum strength, cardio and fat loss benefits...learn to link your tricks together and stay in the air for extended periods, combined with a cardio routine this is a challenging and rewarding class.

Esteem is taught by specialist fitness instructors who are also experienced in dance. Esteem is great for beginners through to advanced, think PussyCat Dolls as it combines sassy dance moves with pole tricks...it's heaps of fun and will add some extra spice to your life!

Aerial is our intermediate class, learn to invert on the pole and further develop your skills upside down. This is also combined with a routine that includes difficult tricks to get the best out of you!

Aerial2 is FitSistas advanced class, you will spend most of your time upside down on the pole learning new extreme tricks, confidence and skills on the pole are a requirement.

15 Minute BumsNTums fitball and floorwork classes designed to target typical problem areas for women. 15 minute sessions.

30 Minute BumsNTums these floor classes are 100% burn! Work your body into a toned lean machine!! This is half an hour that's well worth the effort. No pole involved...

StretchNFlex are 45 minute floorwork classes that focus on upper body strength and increasing your flexibility - especially good for improving your pole tricks.


I may or may not be attending this part of the bonding day! It's also baseball semi-final day...
