tonight, instead of going to speedygeese I went to my first footy training of the season...
good fun, lots of skills work and quite a bit of fitness stuff (well, a lot compared to when I last played with them!) especially the group relay running session at the end (4 stations, 5 different length run legs - 50m up to 120m, push ups/sit ups at each change)...groups of 3-4 although I was in a two with our assistant coach...
16 players tonight...
there's a practice match in two weeks against Queanbeyan (new team in this season along with Murrumbidgee)...a pre-season one day carnival on 10 April with the season starting on 2 May...
there's also a "bonding day" this Saturday - breakfast, rock climbing, lunch, a pole dancing (!) session (fitsistas are our new sponsor!) followed by Q&A while watching our men's team play at Amaroo...with our baseball semi on I might be able to make the early part of the "program"...

I will. Pole dancing training starts next Monday at speedygeese, led by the famous, soon to be infamous, allrounder.
