Two events tonight...
3000m...started about 6:10pm...quite warm in the sun (24 degrees) and a little breezy...cruised through in 13:18:91...
splits: 0:49, 1:42, 1:46, 1:48, 1:49, 1:50, 1:50, 1:46
1k splits: 4:17, 4:31, 4:31
had quite a wait for my final event, the 6 Lap Spiral, and the temperature dropped about 5 degrees while it got a bit breezier...Ruth had a 6pt lead in the Adler and was starting off Group 33, some 2:10 ahead of me in Group 43...2nd place holder Sherryl wasn't there so it was going to be a 2 horse race and I knew it was going to be a big ask when Ruth managed to get about a 425m head start!
mind you, I ran about an 11sec PB, 10:43, but could only peg back the margin to about 150m as Ruth was flying!...Ruth finished 11th v my 18th...I'm not sure how many people eligible for points finished between us but Ruth's lead will be about 15pts as we both drop runs now that we've done more than 6 events...I think Ruth will drop a 28pt run while I drop a 29pt run...

Nice going on the PB. Ruth's form suggests a rehandicapping for Sunday. I'll tell Steve she needs to go back to group 30.
