it was just your average Thursday track night...
got a 4 x 800m team together - Rachelle, Carol M, me & Nadine...Rachelle ripped around in 2:52ish, Carol 3:10ish, me 3:06ish and Nadine 2:50ish to sneak under the 12:00 barrier collectively...
had about 30mins break before lining up for the 3000m just before 8pm with no real plan...settled into a nice pace early (ahead of Nadine!!) and passed Amanda W on the 2nd lap (she pulled out?)...wombatface/Nostradamus was about 30-40m ahead so made a nice target...I made steady ground on him until I passed (!) him with just over a lap to go and kicked home with my usual finish to clock 12:54.79, a massive PB and my first time under 13:00...yes, that's a 14.89sec improvement from last week's PB!
splits: 0:51, 1:42, 1:45, 1:46, 1:47, 1:46, 1:44, 1:33
1k splits: 4:18, 4:26, 4:10
must be the shoes!

Yes, well done! Great PB on a warm night. No, a HOT night. You can look forward to running faster if it ever cools down.
I now predict the 3 minute 800 and 6 minute 1500 barriers will be smashed!
