this was the longest trail run I've ever done...
bit rainy and windy at the start and for about the first 40mins - wore my spray jacket for the first hour...the clouds were closed in on Mt Majura - by the time I reached the top visibility was only about 100m but cleared in about 20mins or so...
got passed by the second bunch of Three Peaker boys as I was plodding up Mt Ainslie!...the first of the girl Three Peakers passed me as I was running up to the saddle between Mt Ainslie and Mt Majura (~4k to go)...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 14.4/92%
start time: 6:33am
total distance: 19.89 (meant to be 20k)
total time: 2:18:00
avg pace: 6:56
total calories: 1476
avg HR*: 156
*Time spent in HR Zones:
00:04 [Z1: 93-111]
02:22 [Z2: 111-130]
18:35 [Z3: 130-148]
105:15 [Z4: 148-167]
12:09 [Z5: 167-185]
k splits: 7:26, 8:36, 8:11, 7:04, 7:49, 6:39, 5:56, 5:31, 6:06, 11:11, 7:31, 6:57, 6:06, 6:13, 6:35, 5:49, 6:18, 5:36
apparently there were problems with the course markers for the faster runners but it was all sorted by the time I went through...
it was a tough workout for me...followed up by a round of golf with Skins on under my trousers...
on the cricket front @ Manuka, the Aussie girls beat India by 118 runs in the 4th ODI of the 5 match series...so the Aussies will be looking for a clean sweep tomorrow....

Well done for running that far, and on such rough ground, it's an event I won't dare attempt owing to the steepness and my failing confidence on heights.
But it wasn't hot, hurrah!
Phew - great run - that sounded tough!
