I turned up to Customs to see I'd been hit by the handicapper to the tune of 30secs and was now off 14:00...even worse was that Tony O was starting in front of me...I blame Ian for "making" me race him at the end of last week's run!

I've checked my records and see that I haven't been off this handicap since October 2006 so I think it's a positive (maybe?!)...

conditions were very very windy and the temperature was 7 degrees (although according to BOM the apparent temp was 1.9!!)

still had a pretty good turn out though...

pacing was more inconsistent than usual, the wind was particularly stiff rounding Regatta Point and then along the edge of the lake from Commonwealth Ave Bridge...still happy to stick under 23:00 in those conditions...

with no footy this weekend, the team is meeting to watch Eastlake/Belconnen at Kingston (10am) and then later in the day we are have a ten pin bowling "bonding" session at Belconnen...

at various stages over the weekend I will also be helping mum & dad empty their garage (eek!) as they are getting ducted gas heating installed...they've lived there since mid 1984 and only had insulation put in earlier this year thanks to Tim...
