Mt Ainslie Run Up #3...

yesterday I spent quite a bit of time seeing a doctor and getting x-rays for my little finger on my right hand...I injured it during the first quarter on Saturday although it didn't hurt until after the game...

there's no obvious fracture but they think it's a tendon issue so I'll be attending the Registrar Review Clinic at the Canberra Hospital tomorrow afternoon...

the finger is currently swollen and bruised...I can't extend the proximal interphalangeal joint nor can I flex the distal interphalangeal joint...

this is a view from the front, most of the bruising is on the medial side of the distal interphalangeal joint although there is some at the proximal interphalangeal joint

this IS as straight as I can get it! how swollen is that?!

the left pinkie for comparison purposes!! nice & straight & normal sized!

I had previously injured this finger in early October last year during my first cricket club match (dropping what would have been a speckie at backward square but went for 4 instead!) however it was never this bad (although I never did get the proximal interphalangeal joint to fully extend!)...

today I ran in my first Mt Ainslie Run Up since November 2006!

I only just made it in time as I ran from work - I had about 90secs "rest" before we were off...walked quite a lot of the "steep" bits on the fire trail...made it to the top in 18:24...I think there were only 3 people behind me!!

ran back down the walking trail with Geoff B and Denis G before heading back to work...actually went to Tim's to grab a drink or two!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 14.0/85% [12:34pm]

I thought it might have been a bit slipperier than it was but it was very pleasant even with the light rain...
