Beijing Torch Relay

just ducked out of work to see this as the route went right passed my building...luckily enough a changeover took place right in front of me - #71 Michael Milton handing over to #72 Stasia Dabrowksi*...Stasia was having a ball after they dropped her off and before Michael arrived...lots of her friends were in the crowd...she was having a good chat to the AFP officers...

* Stasia has voluntarily run a mobile soup kitchen since 1979, providing hot soup, bread, drinks, clothes and blankets to the homeless and needy of Canberra, and is dedicated to the welfare of young people. For nine years she raised the funds herself to purchase ingredients for the soup kitchen. She was the 1996 Canberra Citizen of the Year, and the 1999 inaugural Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Senior Australian of the Year.

the infamous torch attendants kept to themselves and everything seemed to go pretty smoothly...couldn't have asked for better weather...
