Friday
flew to Sydney at lunchtime, checking into our hotel near the airport before catching a taxi to the SCG…
a good game to be at…Australia were a bit sloppy in the field – Tait's drop cost 101 runs and was pretty much a sitter – but it was good to see England kick on & finally rack up a big score…
what a corker of a ball to Gilchrist by Plunkett, the ground went off…shame about Symonds' injury though (although we didn't notice any one shot causing the problem)…
the Mexican wave went around about 6 times and even the Member's participated!
the match finished just before 10pm so it was a little walk to & then down Oxford St to catch a taxi back to the hotel (easier than waiting at the ground)…
Saturday
landed back in Canberra at about 9.45am and headed straight to golf…
managed to have another good round and it was "this close" to be a great round after i was only 5 over after 15 holes…unfortunately i had blowouts on holes 16 & 17 & a bogey on 18 to finish with 13 over…still, good enough for me to finish 3rd…
no massage today as i was travelling with Suze (Jodie had my car)…
watched the Brumbies opening match of the season on Fox and then watched bits & pieces of the Waratahs & Reds while i got my gear ready for cricket…
Sunday
up early for the regular trip to Sydney, this time to the UNSW to play at the Village Green…did part of one cache on the way to the ground ("Picture This (3): The Club" – to be finished at a later date) & did another actually on the campus of the UNSW ("Time Stands Still") before play…
well, we are now on a roll with our second win in a row (giving us 4/10 for the season so far)…we fielded first and dismissed them for 108 (they have three NSW Breakers/Australian players!) and then we racked up the runs in the 26th over without losing a wicket, just missing the double bonus point…
i missed a stumping but finished on 47 not out so i was pretty pleased with that…
post-match, i attempted three more caches but only found two ("It's Not Cricket" at Alan Davidson Oval & "Shades of Miss Havisham?")…the one i couldn't find was "Green and Gold Bell Frog"…
home by 8.30pm after a stop mid way for a break to stretch the legs…listening to the cricket always makes the drive easier & i got home in time to see the last 12 overs…
Today
got up late and rode to work in muggy conditions…

today i started a lunchtime Pilates class with Ken Telfer at the Griffin Centre…the sessions run for 8 weeks…haven't done a specific Pilates class before although i have done a bit of stabilising work through cricket etc…should be interesting…
