no activity yesterday except walking Huxley last night - combined it with picking up some dinner so we went for about 1hr25min with a 10min stop at the takeaway...
up early this morning (6.15am) to walk him again, this time only for an hour...he had a brief encounter with one of his best mates (Jet) who was being taken for a run by Michael...had to change plans once they continued on or Hux would have kept going with them!...

with just under 11 weeks (!) until the Sydney Half, i've decided to switch from the "intermediate" training program from last year's website to the "advanced" one on this year's site (both put together by Pat Carroll)...the main difference is that the easy runs are longer although the longest still remains at 2hrs...some of the faster sessions are switched around as well...
so this week's schedule is thus:
Tuesday - 15mins Hills (30sec/JR)
Wednesday - easy 70mins
Thursday - 2k/1k/500m/500m/1k with 90sec SR
Friday - Customs
Saturday - easy 50mins [+ golf]
Sunday - easy 120mins [+ cricket training]
i'll also be walking Hux for the next couple of days with my housemates swanning about on Hamilton Island until Thursday!...
in between now & the Sydney Half, i've got the 15k leg of the Bush Marathon Relay to do on Sat 29 July and, of course, the C2S in mid-August where i hope to catch up with the Sydney CRs again afterwards...i'm going to go as hard as i can in the Bush Relay, i haven't done that much pure trail running so it should be fun...i'd also like to break 70mins for the C2S so that'll be a big challenge (last year's official time was 77:52, watch time 75:41)...i can't believe i made that official!

i spent a lot of time online last night reading people's race reports from the GC...inspiring stuff plus it reminded me of things i had forgotten!
i'll definitely be back!!
