i still can't believe i really cracked 22:00 for Customs...i managed to take 23 seconds off my PB...
Aki was there and so was FlashDuck who started ahead of Jodie...
Aki started 15 seconds behind me and finished 10 seconds in front as she also scored a big PB in 21:16...she passed me just before the bridge so not long after 1k (i'd like to see her splits)...
i just concentrated on maintaining a slightly uncomfortable pace, i didn't look at my watch at all to get my splits although i noticed i made the turn in 10:36 (my fastest yet) so i knew a PB was on the cards (so much so that i promised myself that if i broke 22:00 i'd have one full strength beer at the presentation dinner that night!)...i was surprised by the time i ended up with...
FlashDuck did a solid 26:45 while Jodie continued her sub 30:00 streak with 29:03...
the stats:
start time: 12:29
total distance: 5.02k
total time: 21:41
avg pace: 4:19
total calories: 515 (not sure if that's right)
avg HR: 175
1k splits:
4:06, 4:14, 4:22, 4:20, 4:30
the 305 also mapped the run almost perfectly...the map below has not been edited...
i forgot to mention that last friday's run meant 1 year of Customs Joggers for me!
****************************************
last night was good although the traffic to get there (Epping) from the airport (where i had visited a geo-cache to drop of 2 travel bugs) was horrendous...i left the cache at about 5:15pm and didn't get to the venue until 6:40pm!
got to bed at 1:40am and up again at 6:45am to make it back in time for golf...
golf was OK, i started well but my form faded on the last 6 holes...visited one of Suze' caches near the course (a very cool hide) before heading to mum & dad's for my massage...

Well done, mate. I hope the beer was good!
At this rate you'll be dangerous in the half.
Heh, those splits probably do look quite riduculous! Good run Allrounder, I could feel you breathing down my neck the whole way!
