after writing seeminlgy endless entries about jodie's great performances & PBs, i finally got to notch one up myself!...after coming within 4 seconds a couple of weeks ago, today i managed to knock 18 seconds off to record a Customs PB of 22:14!
not as many runners today and the majority seemed to be starting behind me (!)...richard m started 15 seconds in front of me and it took until the 2k to pass him...at the turn my time was 11:06, my fastest ever to that point, so it was just a case of maintaining the pace if i could...didn't get passed (geoff munro) until regatta point...caught jodie on the little hill (she had been hammered by the handicapper to the turn of 45secs - about time i say!)...really put in a good effort after rounding the BBQ shelter and pushed even harder once demetrios passed me (i think he did another PB), i nearly caught him on the line (sorry guys)...jodie ran her second best time (29:07) to maintain her good form over the past month...
