this was my second fastest run for Customs and my fastest since November...
the stats:
start time: 12:28:32
total distance: 5.09k
total time: 22:43
avg pace: 4:27
total calories: 407
avg HR: 175
run without the use of alerts for pace or HR (only because i forgot to turn them on!) and elected not to look at my k splits as i went...run pretty comfortably so i was surprised by the time...didn't do my usual finishing sprint either as i was a bit wary of the softer ground...bizarre!
Aki started 1:15 ahead of me while FlashDuck was only 0:30 ahead...surprised to reel FD in just on 1k and passed Aki just after 2k (i tried to sneak up on her but Jodie heading the other way yelled out!)...
speaking of Jodie i reeled her in coming around Regatta Point so had made up her 7:15 head start on me...the flying speedygeoff passed me before the short hill to run a PB for the course (he started 2:00 behind me)...
Jodie finished with 31:25 on a day where she didn't want to run but did anyway!
Suze & Hux made another appearance, Hux had a swim while we were on the course and then they positioned themselves to see us coming around Regatta Point...

Of course it was the interval session you ran on Thursday which made it feel easy.
Geoff is right in that more distance run during the week will also help your 5k time.
I saw in the paper where you won the Orienteering event - congratulations! We ran through Commonwealth Park and saw people running in different directions - looks very confusing.
You're flying! Way to go All-rounder!
You little speed machine you ! :)
Good work!
Thats a good run and your HR didn't get that high either. You must be fairly fit?
Funny your best performances come when you least expect them at times..maybe its a pressure thing?
