A weekend in Sydney...

arrived in Sydney just before 9am and had picked up my rego kit by 9:30am...had a browse through the "expo" and picked up a few bits 'n' pieces...

spent the next 6hrs caching including walking down and around Lady Macquarie's Chair...

visited Haigh's and walked out with a bagful of chocolate goodies (not all for me!)...

checked into Rydges North Sydney around 4pm...turns out I was only a room along from Craig (handy for handing over his family's rego kits!)...

taken from my balcony

had room service for dinner while I flicked between the NRL and AFL...

up early and down to the start by 5:55am...the start was a couple of minutes late - we were started by the female marathon gold medallist from Sydney...

the new course was more scenic but I think it was just as hard as the previous version with the "hills" in different spots...

I knew my lack of long runs was going to get me and sure enough I struggled over the second half...so I was happy to sneak in under 1:55...
