the track was surprisingly firm but it was pretty windy...

started off Group 30 (25:30) with Janene and Heidi (there were 5 other starters in our group)...Brett was one group behind and Nadine a group further back...

Heidi passed me by the 2k mark and Brett not long after...I tried to stick close to them but they kept drawing further away especially Brett...a hard last k saw me get within about 15m of Heidi at the finish...

finished 19th out of 90, passed 44, passed by 4...

overall 27th fastest - fastest Bruce Graham 37:27 M45; 4th fastest female (out of 31) - fastest Kathy Southgate 29:53 W50...

I didn't hang around long afterwards - made it to the women's AFL grand final by half time...Tuggeranong won by 1 point in a low scoring affair...Jodie had a good game with the whistle!

back to Mawson to meet Stuart Reid and John Alcock at John's house to run through the results processing...John did the Thomas and I did the Frylink under Stuart's watchful eye...we'll be doing the processing (splitting the three series between us) for future events...we also figured out why Janene didn't show up on the board list so that's all fixed!

then finally off to Majura to register for baseball...and just when I thought I could have a rest, Jodie and I had to do the grocery shopping for the week...

now I'm resting!
