this morning I headed off to East Kowen to participate in the ACT Long Distance MTB Orienteering Champs...I started at 10:00 on Course 3...I was hoping to finish around 105mins but was very pleased to finish in 92:09...
had to walk my bike up some steep bits but it was good fun...even had a couple of 'roos bound across the trail only metres in front of me at one stage...a little bit of rain but the weather was mostly pretty good if not humid...some trails were muddy in places so had to give the bike a bit of a clean...had to go through a couple of gates, over a couple of locked gates and over one fence...

I got back home in time to do the planned run with Jodie....Jodie was leaving from Belconnen Basketball Stadium while I left from home...when we met up I turned around and we both headed for home...we both left at 12:50pm and met up 51:36 into the run...
in the end Jodie covered 17.14k in 2hrs - her longest run yet - while I did just over a k more...got rained on a bit and it was windy at times but a great effort from Jodie (not that she enjoyed it)...
