Chris Cook Memorial Mt Ainslie Run Up

decided to do this event held by the Australian Mountain Running Association (aka John Harding)...Chris was a co-founder of the run up and still in the fastest time rankings...he died 10 years ago today while competing at the Australian Mountain Running champs...

John and Danny (a mate of Chris) spoke about him before the start...he sounded like he would have been a good person to know...Chris' wife, daughter and sister were there as well...

I haven't done this run up since December last year and was pleasantly surprised to break 18mins (just!) for only the second time...first time was in my very first run up back in October 2006...this was the 9th time I had run it...

I ran all the way back to work carrying a bottle of wine!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 11.0/60% [12:30pm] ("apparent temp" 9.4)
