first event for me was the shotput...didn't reach the distance of last week with a best throw of just over 8m...
then I tried my hand at the 8oom...can't recall ever running one of these so a PB was on the cards...ran in the second race and after my typical fast start, I managed to come 6th (just) in 3:03.43...actually enjoyed this one and will be looking to break 3:00 by season's end...
the Parlauf relay didn't eventuate with no takers other than Griffin...he'd already run the 3000m steeplechase by himself earlier in the night...
I managed to fit in 3 throws of the discus (no idea how far) before dashing off to the 3000m which had been brought forward due to the lack of relays...
came 11th in 13:35.60...only 2 seconds or so outside my PB...
found my missing javelin result from last week - 19.86...nothing great there...

No, you should be looking to get into the low 2:50s.
