Change of plans...

so much for a weekend of cricket in Sydney!

as I was driving up yesterday, I received 2 text messages in the space of 5mins informing me that (a) my club match was called off and then (b) the ACT match was off as well...

first things first, I rang my golf club to line up a tee time for today then I got mum and dad to look up the details of the One Peak event...they gave me John Harding's number so I got Jodie to ring him to see if I could enter on the day...

John rang me back by the time I reached Pheasant's Nest to let me know I was good to go...so I attended the function at the SCG and was back home by 11:50pm!

I barely had 5hrs sleep before I was on the road to the Mt Majura Winery to register my entry...

conditions weren't too bad under foot given the overnight rain and I think I was only just over 2mins slower than last year...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 10.2/97% (rising to 12.1/92%)
start time: 7:03am
total distance: 15.08
total time: 1:31:54
avg pace: 6:05
total calories: 1135
avg/max HR*: 159/195

*Time spent in HR Zones:
00:06 [Z1: 93-111]
00:03 [Z2: 111-130]
17:22 [Z3: 130-148]
62:30 [Z4: 148-167]
13:07 [Z5: 167-185]

1k splits: 5:05, 5:26, 5:24, 6:57, 5:04, 5:22, 5:35, 6:18, 7:06, 8:20, 9:16, 5:58, 5:19, 5:22, 5:09

after collecting my bottle of wine and grabbing a drink or two, I was off home to shower and then head out for golf...

actually had a good round today although I was a bit warm with my Skins on under long pants...had 91 off the stick which is just outside what I should shoot and I had a couple of birdies in that although a quadruple on the 17th cost me!

from golf it was off to Curtin to watch Suze and Jodie's baseball team (Ainslie Bears) play the Woden Rebels...the Bears won reasonably convincingly...

we meant to be going to a caching event based on the World Wide Flash Mob phenomenon (and then on to the Caps game at Tuggeranong) but Suze was struck down by a migraine...I ended up going to the caching event - it was cool seeing everyone gather near the Carillon as the bells tolled 6pm and then disperse again at 6:15pm!

I can't understand why you didn't just drive up to Brisbane to catch the test?
