must thank Ewen for his positive comments re: my goal for C2S...I'm thinking 77:ish is more likely but I'm going to give it my best shot...
had a good hit last night - did some back foot stuff which was interesting given my back foot is my right...good test as there was more emphasis on the balance or otherwise that I was able to maintain through the heel/ankle...felt weird (sensation-wise) at times but I've come through unscathed so it's all positive...
applied heat to my back before bed and it seems to have eased a bit today...will probably do that a couple more times up to Sunday...
managed to get my lazy butt back on the bike this morning...left late but it was a surprisingly quick ride in...nice to have suspension in the seat after the basic mountain bike I used in Darwin...ah, sheer luxury!

actually riding to work is going to be a bit hit and miss once we start our early morning fitness sessions on Monday and Wednesday from next week...these sessions start at 6:30am at Manuka Oval and if I ride to those I'd have to leave home around 5:40am!...might drive (which then means having to pay for parking for work) to the first couple of weeks and then see how things go...or I could drive to Manuka with my bike in the back and then ride to/from work...decisions, decisions...

Knowing how you run, your main problem will be running the first two km in 9:45. Take it easy until Rose Bay and you should be fine.
