Back to work...

been back at work since Tuesday...getting around fairly well without needing the crutches except getting in/out of the shower (not allowed to weight bear without the boot)...

have paid the anaesthetist's bill (15% discount if you pay within three weeks!!) and will be paying the doctor's bill today...amazing how much difference there can be between the "Medicare Scheduled Fee" and the actual fee charged!!

only have to sleep with the boot on for another week...still having to rely on others and the public system for transport...will experiment on my bike on the weekend!

the scar is healing nicely...will take some more photos soon...

had a pretty quiet Easter...re-arranged my bedroom a bit (moved my desk)...did some caching...attended the Brumbies match...bought and painted a return for my desk to help with the new look...

I'm a special guest (along with Mark Higgs) at the ACT Cricket Junior High Performance Dinner tonight at the Federal Golf Club...meant to say a few words and do some presentations....

doing the online scoring for the Australia/Ireland match tomorrow night...

also looks like I'll be watching a lot of AFL footy this weekend - Jodie's umpiring at the women's pre-season carnival at RMC, Duntroon on Saturday and then doing another Canberra District Div II men's match on Sunday (ANU/Yass) at ANU South...hopefully we'll also do some caching on Sunday!

it's been nearly a year since we moved into the house so we are going out to dinner tomorrow night...

I'm missing my club's presentation night on Saturday in Sydney but I will be attending the Association dinner in May...

also emailed the GC organisers to see if I can help out as a volunteer seeing as I'm going to be there...

no running news but I'm getting better at going down stairs (up is surprisingly easy)...

until next time...!

The extra weight is not slowing you down though.

Congrats on being a special guest at the cricket dinner and good to see the heel seems to be doing the right thing. I also agree with you about the gap between the scheduled fee and the actual fee charged. In many cases, I don't think the size of the gap is justified or acceptable.
