Weekend wrap...

Saturday
elected NOT to run after the double dose of running/cricket sessions over the past two days...decided to listen to my body for a change!

a decent score at golf at last...finally played near my handicap (only 1 off) despite some pretty ugly shots at times!

the last small group cricket training session went well - we did a bit of everything in the end...

Sunday
did my programmed 10k TT this morning...Suze agreed to be my pacer (on bike) while Jodie & Hux left after us for Jodie to do her run...

essentially did two big laps of Yerrabi Pond plus two small laps at the Horse Park Drive end...got CoolRunner recognition from a walker - turns out it was UltraPhil who i passed twice...

despite not feeling so fresh at the start, i managed to do a TT PB and run my second fastest 10k ever!

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 8.3/81%
start time: 9:20am
total distance: 10.00
total time: 45:50
avg pace: 4:35
total calories: 748
avg HR: 167
finish temp/humidity: 9.4/77%

1k splits:
4:27, 4:32, 4:44, 4:39, 4:30 (22:52)
4:37, 4:37, 4:38, 4:40, 4:26 (22:58)

then it was off to cricket training at the mpowerdome...the main part of the session (nets) was inside before we headed over to Chisholm 2 to do some fielding and some hill sprints...

only downside was me ripping my little finger on my right hand open during the last fielding drill, nothing major (actually ripped open the scar from a similar incident which occurred about 4 years ago) but the blood dripping everywhere was pretty impressive...made a nice mess and the finger is quite swollen now but it should be right to continue training on Thursday...

then finally it was home to relax!

That's a busy day Allrounder. Yes was good to meet another CR in the flesh today! Well done on the 10km result.

Hope the ripped finger datract from your running training.

Yerrabi Pond is a great place to do some training around, it's flattish.
