Saturday was running late for parkrun and joined Ewen at the back of the pack and slowly eased into my run...however after 2 or so k my right calf got tighter and tighter (much like a balloon filling up) and more uncomfortable to the point of pain so I stopped to stretch and then hobble my way to the end with another couple of stops for gentle stretching....there was no ping, no pop, just incredible & ultimately painful tightness...

I contacted Jodie while I was still walking to the finish to see if she knew of a physio open on Saturdays and she got to work searching...by the time I got home and was icing, she'd found one that Lisa recommended and thus I was booked in to see Nyrie at Sportcare & Physiotherapy in Dickson...

I showered and got ready for cricket picking up my kit and the team gear along the way...

turns out it appears to be all but a grade 1 strain and I was out of cricket (couldn't even push off on my right foot walking)...she emailed me a program of exercises to do after RICEing for 48hrs...

from there it was straight to cricket at Bonython to score (while RICEing) with Wendell having a replacement in place for me...in hot conditions we managed to pull off a miracle run chase of 254 to win by 2 wickets with 11 balls to spare....!

didn't do much yesterday apart from RICE, visit BCF then head over later in the afternoon to Jodie & Lisa's for dinner, cricket and to set a plan of attack to prepare Tammie's house for sale...I also booked a physio appointment with my usual physio for next Monday...

this morning I walked the boys (only took 5mins longer than usual) and then Tammie and I headed to St George's Basin for a fishing & boating break for her birthday which was on Saturday...we are staying at an AirBnB which backs onto the water...
