street O @ Griffith...

I picked Jodie up for street O @ Griffith...was a bit cool but I warmed up once we got going...I mapped out a route to do all 20 but in the end elected to just get 15 to be back pretty much on time...we got all the "outside" controls so it was a good workout...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 6.0/81% (apparent temp 4.1)
start time: 6:14pm
total distance: 9.24
total time: 60:11 (official 59:58)
avg pace: 6:31
total calories: 660
avg HR: 131
TE: 2.8
recovery HR: 96/39
BPK: 854

with most of the controls in the hilly part of the map, it was always going to be tough to get them all or even 18...we ended up opting for 15...we also did they hilly part first which was challenging!

our route was: 20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 11 - 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 4 - 5 - 1 - 2 - 3 - F...

not many takers for the A course which Marty D zipped around in 32:58...6 men and 1 woman...and not many on the B either...

Course B: 15 out of 20 controls
1 Scott McTaggatt 40.50
2 Zac Needham RR-A 42.20
3 Jonathan Ricks RR-A 42.45 Women
1 Susanne Harrysson BS-A 57.15
2 Bronwyn Calver BS-A 59.58

the next event is on 26 June at Ainslie (assembly at rear of Ainslie shops) with Sarah Duncan as the (first time) course setter...

was very foggy this morning, I kept "losing" Hunter as he blended in!

it remained foggy all the way in to work and is still very foggy now...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 0.4/99% (apparent temp same)
start time: 8:14am
total distance: 16.61
total time: 39:59 (including 0:24 stopped time)
avg speed: 24.9kph
total calories: 469*
avg HR: 148* * seems a bit high as I definitely wasn't working hard! strap might have slipped or it wasn't coping with the cold!
