4WD...

Saturday, after taking Hodge on his long walk, we (Tammie, Jodie and I) headed off into Pierces Creek Forest in the 4WD to do some challenging driving and find some caches along the way...

was good fun and we even met up with another truck who took us back to a small dam to do some muddy 4WDing...

all up Tammie and I found 8 caches while Jodie scored 10 finding 2 at the top of Bullen Range which we had found previously...

yesterday I did my first long training run (min 60mins) since 6 August (I did run the Canberra Times 14k in September)...this time last year I was running the canberra marathon...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 11.2/85% (apparent temp same)
start time: 7:53am
total distance: 9.90
total time: 60:00
avg pace: 6:04
total calories: 705
avg HR: 125

I was hoping for around 10k but I'm not disappointed as it did include the long hill (Learmonth) at the end of my run...

as I was walking the rest of the way home I came across quite a large kangaroo in the front yard of a house on the corner of Learmonth and Bateman...he was on the other side of a hedge and proceeded to slowly exit away from me before I got to the corner then headed down Learmonth in the direction I had just come from...I thought it was just foxes coming into people's yards!

I caddied again for Tammie...this time she was playing in the #4 spot against Gungahlin Lakes at Federal, giving only two shots this week instead of 17!...she didn't have a good day on the greens and ended up losing 6/5 however the team managed to win 2 of the other matches as well as square one to share the points...

this morning I walked Hodge as usual before riding to work...an average ride in...

the stats:

the plan is to do an easy run at lunch then street O in Ainslie after work...
