yesterday morning's ride in after walking Hodge was slow...caught early lights and then couldn't seem to make up the time...

couldn't understand why a female cyclist with an ill-fitting helmet was riding the wrong way in the onroad cycling lane opposite The Lodge...I was just getting speed up as I headed towards the off-ramp to go around State Circle when I had to slow down quickly as she was weaving all over the lane...unbelievable!
managed to get to the gym at lunch...
later in the afternoon was saddened to hear of the head injury suffered by Phil Hughes in the Shield match at the SCG between NSW and SA...very traumatic for all at the ground, particularly for Sean Abbott the bowler and Phil's mother and sister who were in the crowd...he had to have surgery last night to relieve the pressure on his brain so here's hoping there's some good news in the next 24-48hrs...
the match was first abandoned for the day and then altogether...it was announced today that the other two matches will be abandoned as well...
