MRI results...

yesterday was an easy day...

walked Hodge as usual...went for a walk at lunch to find the cache I DNF'd last week (it had been replaced as it had been muggled)...

picked up squiggle from after school care...

this morning I walked Hodge then rode to work...it was very foggy...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 5.6/100% (apparent temp same)
start time: 8:03am
total distance: 16.63
total time: 39:37 (including 0:26 stopped time)
avg speed: 25.2kph
total calories: 495
avg HR: 137

went back to the GP to get the MRI results...below is a summary of the results:

  • high grade sprain of deltoid as well as spring ligaments
  • insertional Achilles tendinosis with associated retrocalcaneal bursitis and mild reactive calcaneal bone morrow oedema
  • thin layer of fluid is seen around multiple tendons* around the ankle suggesting possible tenosynovitis
  • thin layer of effusion is seen in the ankle joint and the talocalcaneal joint

* tibialis posterior, flexor digitorum longus, lateral peroneal and tibialis anterior

now on anti-inflammatories (Mobic) with panadol until I see the specialist on Wednesday...

gym at lunch then rode home at the normal time...nearly as speedy as Tuesday...

Hopefully further rest and rehab will cure it. You don't want to have six pins in it like Jim White. Although he's running pain-free and fast at the moment.
