Registration...

had a nice dinner Thursday night at The Lone Star...

the weather was not promising for the weekend so after breakfast today I elected to go shopping for some inclement (!) weather running gear at Frontrunner, one of the race's sponsors...picked up a nice vest and a long sleeve shirt...

then we found some caches before meeting up with mum & dad...we took them to lunch at the Tea House on the Lake in Pukepura Park...very nice...

after lunch we took them to see the Wind Wand (very cool) before eventually heading back to the hotel to pick up my race number & timing chip (or transponders as they call them here)...

#274 for me...the excitement levels lifted to see fellow runners (& walkers) in the hotel...

I walked mum & dad back to their hotel (not far away) before having a relaxing late afternoon...

had a nice dinner and now watching the Raiders/Storm match...looks pretty wet in Canberra!

I'll be up at 5:30am to get ready, the bus leaves at 6:15am to take the runners to the start (spectator traffic is restricted) and then the countdown continues to 7:15am local time (5:15am for Canberra)...

will be interesting to see if I've done enough!
