One journey starts while another one ends......

my footy teammate, Amanda "Cookie" Cook, who joined us at Dickson last night has started training for the Sydney Trailwalker 100k in August...

she's never trained for anything like this before and approached me about joining the speedgygeese for interval training...of course, I said she was more than welcome...and, despite her trepidation, from all reports she's pulled up ok today and will be continuing to come along...

on a sadder note, the funeral for Senior Constable Damian "Damo" Leeding (who was shot in the face at close range with a sawn off shotgun and died following an armed robbery at Coomera on the Gold Coast earlier this week) will be held on Tuesday at the Gold Coast Convention Centre (the only venue deemed big enough to hold the service)...he was great mates with Tim through their shared love of triathlon...in fact, Tim was his best man...now, Tim will be one of his pallbearers as well as one of the speakers at the service...
