Saturday-Tuesday

didn't end up staying for the ACTVAC presentation, just dropped off the Certificates of Excellence...

Saturday

finished delivering the last of 5000 phonebooks...we only had about 350 to do in two areas - with 5 of us, we knocked it off in just under 4 hours...

then walked from the 7th tee to the finish with the first group of the women's foursomes...Suze and her partner, Pat, had an overnight lead of 4 shots...

made mum some mini choc orange muffins for Mother’s Day...

Sunday

we played a very good game of football against Tuggeranong, a top 4 contender and premier in recent times...

1st quarter: 0.2-2 to 1.5-11
2nd quarter: 2.2-14 to 3.8-26
3rd quarter: 5.3-33 to 4.8-32 << yes, we had a 1pt lead!!
4th quarter: 5.3-33 to 5.13-43

I played just about the whole game in the ruck except when I was "rested" in the forward line at the start of the 2nd quarter...and, yes, I managed to kick a goal in that "rest"...

unfortunately, we couldn't get over the line in the last quarter...a sign, I think, of fatigue...

one of our players also become the first woman to play 50 games for the Jets, not bad for a team in its 4th season...I think 1-2 other players may celebrate the same milestone this season...I'll have to wait until next season given I didn't play in the second season and missed another 6-7 games last season because of my broken wrist...

I detoured via Fyshwick to get some moving boxes for Jodie and Suze from Kennards before heading back to Belconnen golf course to watch the last two holes being played...

Suze and Pat ended up winning by 14 shots...

footy awards were at Gungahlin Lakes...

Monday

ride to gym/gym/ride to work...quite a cold start and have resorted to wearing my long winter cycle pants...

a new program for the weights starting this week...

Day 1:

Warm up (which is my ride in)
Stretches
Reverse throws using a theraband
Wrist curls (extension & flexion)
Forearms stretches
Low incline dumbbell bench press (2x4-6/1x8-10)
Barbell bench press (2x8-10)
Ezybar upright row (2x6-8)
Tricep French press (lying) (2x6-8)
Tricep extensions (standing) (2x10-12)
Abs - 3 x (eccentric leg lowers with 5 sec hold / bicycle oblqiues on 3 with 3 sec hold)
Stretches

The weights are starting to get quite heavy now but don’t expect me to break out into incredible hulk shape anytime soon!

the ride home was good...

not many at footy training last night - 10 players, 2 coaches and a helper...

we got an early mark (7:40pm instead of 8:10pm!) after a solid session in arctic conditions - it was a bit windy!

I found my first cache in a couple of weeks opposite the Raiders Club...even better I was the first one to find it!

made it home in time to watch the second half of the Blues v the Saints...

Today

caught the bus in from Harrison for the first time - given the bus stop is on Flemington Rd (only 5-6mins walk) I didn’t have to wait long and the ride in only took 15mins....

went for an easy run at lunch:
