spent last night charging up the 305 and setting up the cadence/speed sensor on my bike (i must get back into riding to work, maybe after the Canberra Half)...added Training Centre* to my home PC then created the advanced workout planned for today...when i got to work i added the remaining advanced workouts left until the Canberra Half from Training Centre on my work PC...
* i will have to update the Training Centre at home (but will download the file at work because it's heaps quicker)...
i must say the watch looks very sharp, i like the fact you can have up to 4 things shown on the screen at once (i hope i don't run into anything while admiring it on the run!) so i spent a bit more time setting up my custom screen, the heart rate strap also seems much more comfortable...
i will have to get used to the buttons being in different places (i kept pressing the wrong one last night!) and they are initially stiffer to press but i suspect that will improve with time...

on the financial adviser front, i had my initial (free) meeting yesterday and am going to proceed with setting up investments through them (next meeting is next week then it takes about 3 weeks for the plan to be put together)...originally i was just going to put it all into term deposits but that's not very tax effective (gee, i sound like i know what i'm talking about now, you know what they say about a little bit of knowledge...) so it will be a combination of things looking more long term although part of it will also have a short term component...all very interesting as this is the first time i have had any large amount of money and i (of course) want to make sure i make the most of it...
