A good run...

but not quite a PB...still my 4th fastest time for Customs, with all of those times coming in the past 4 runs...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 16.4/41%
start time: 12:29pm
total distance: 5.01
total time: 22:21
avg pace: 4:27
total calories: 425
avg HR: 171
finish temp/humidity: 16.3/40%

arrived at the start to see i got whacked with another 15secs handicap today after my PB last week to be starting off 14:30, exactly 7 mins behind jodie...

a little warmer today but still quite windy...my 1k splits weren't too bad given the conditions: 4:15, 4:32, 4:36, 4:30, 4:22...the first and last ks were more sheltered from the wind (well, that's my excuse anyway for the other ks!)...

i got passed by a couple of people in the last k - Chris N & Christophe...and only passed a couple of people myself also in the last k - Jodie & Doug...only 19 of us all up (i think)...

jodie continued with her consistent sub 30:00 form, recording exactly the same time as last week (29:35) so equalling her 3rd fastest time...i didn't pass her until rounding the BBQ shelter at the top of downhill to the finish...and even better we both finished ahead of Demetrios!

we are both looking forward to tomorrow's marathon eve fun runs...our own cheersquad (Suze & Hux) will even be in place...mum & dad won't be there though as they heading to Eden to see the Endeavour...

forgot to mention that yesterday i ordered two more pairs of running shoes online from Jamie at FootRx...i've done just over 800ks in my current shoes (New Balance 766) so i thought it was time to get some more...

now the weekend's plans:
  • saturday - golf + Marathon Eve 10k
  • sunday - marshalling at the Canberra Marathon (i have to report for duty by 6.15am!!) + easy 40mins

should be a great weekend - there's less than 40hrs to the starters gun!!
