Week two of finals....

Saturday

played my first round of golf since late April...played to a handicap of 26 instead of 16 (oops)...the course was very heavy and the greens had been cored...wrist pulled up OK...I'll be playing off 17 (16.8) this Saturday in the monthly medal...

Sunday

the Jets played Queanbeyan in the first elimination final...our first half was probably our worst all year but thankfully our defence was on their game...we lead 1.3-9 to 0.1-1...we improved in the second half to run out winners by 29 points - 4.6-30 to 0.1-1...

in the other elimination final ANU forfeited to Belconnen...

in the qualifying finals played on Saturday, Ainslie (1st) beat Riverina (4th) by 64 points while Tuggeranong (2nd) defeated Eastlake (3rd) by 15 points...

this means we play Riverina next Sunday in the first semi final while Belconnen play Eastlake in the second semi final on Saturday, both 10am at Football Park Phillip...

Riverina was the team we drew with so it should be a good match...

tonight Jodie and I will be joining the speedygeese proper before I head off to a pool session with the Jets at the AIS...after that we are hitting Zefferelli's at Belconnen for a combined birthday celebration for one of the players/team dinner...
