Brrr...

Saturday

did get out and play golf even though it was quite windy as well as rained on & off...the temperature didn't get above 7 degrees! we started with 15 players but 7 pulled out after 9 holes...managed a pretty good round despite the conditions & got nearest the pin again (well the only person to get on the green actually!)...

did two caches on the way home (one on Mt Ainslie which was shrouded in fog) before settling in to watch the Wallabies squeak home against the Springboks...

Sunday

did my 60min run while Suze was coaching at basketball...I ran down to Lake Ginninderra and looped that before heading back...

the stats:
start temp/humidity: 8.1/71% ("rising" to 9.4/60% by the end)
start time: 12:39pm
total distance: 10.32
total time: 60:00
avg pace: 5:48
total calories: 775
avg/max HR*: 161/196

*Time spent in HR Zones:
00:02 [Z1 93-111]
00:10 [Z2: 111-130]
01:12 [Z3: 130-148]
45:42 [Z4: 148-167]
12:41 [Z5: 167-185]

actually quite pleasant running conditions although I was running into quite a stiff headwind on the back half...the last couple of ks had some significant hill climbs...

heel felt pretty good so hopefully it will keep progressing...

I find running in gusty, cold conditions, as some of the toughest running I have done. Seems their is too much gusty stuff around lately.

Yes, the Wallabies did squeak home against SA. Not sure this is something too comforting though - narrowly beating a third string team on our home soil.
