6 days until the Sydney Half...

the running training schedule for the rest of the week was/is:

Tues - 4k @ HM pace
Weds - easy 50mins
Thurs - 12 x 30sec on/off
Fri - Customs
Sat - very easy 40mins
(but probably nothing due to travelling to Sydney & doing some shopping amongst other things!)
Sun - Sydney HM

the cricket training schedule for the rest of the week is:

Weds - 6.30-8.30pm net session @ the mpowerdome
Fri - 7.00-8.00am running/abs @ Telopea Park/Manuka (however, rumour has it we may be doing a 5k run)

with the wind having blown itself out at the moment, it was a glorious spring day to be out & about...

up early to walk the boy (suze is back tonight)...we went down to the ovals but he didn't have any mates to play with so he had to make do with me...very crunchy underfoot due to frost...

happy with today's run as i was aiming for 4:50 pace for the 4k (~101:59 HM)...
the stats:
start temp/humidity: 17.0/35%
start time: 1:15pm
total distance: 8.73
total time: 50:13
total calories: 658
avg HR: 152
finish temp/humidity: 17.4/31%

lap details:

very similar to the same session immediately prior to the Gold Coast HM (19:01/4:45)...a good omen perhaps?

All the training you've done will pay off in Sydney.

Think positive for a PB on that course.

All the best for Sunday. It will be a different race for you with another year under your belt. Sorry I won't be there to catch up but Rob is getting his 10 year award for playing for his AFL club that morning.
