Long weekend wrap...

Wet Saturday

well it wasn't wet when i went for my run, in fact, the conditions were almost perfect if a little cool with no wind to speak of...

golf today was a team event, 3BBB v Par, so no affect on the handicap although i played OK...the rain started when we were on the 6th tee and continued throughout the rest of the round...we had +7 and finished third for the day...

the rain got heavier & heavier, particulary through the night with me having serious doubts about whether i would run it if it continud into the morning!

Windy Sunday

no rain but boy it was windy! the average wind speed was around 25 knots with gusts up to 35!

wore my new shoes for today's run as about 30% of it is off-road and i figured it would be a good test after the rain...

seemed to spend most of my run either heading into the wind or having it come across me...the one time i did feel it behind me it felt like i had been pushed in the back!...the shoes came through with flying colours too...

back to the golf course to play with one of the newer ladies and two of her sons (both good golfers, one who is nearly 18 and off 6 & the other who has just turned 16 and is off 13)...a good time was had by all as we brought in the day's winner - 2 proud boys as mum broke her handicap for the first time!

had dinner at the Italian Kitchen in Kaleen for Jodie's mum's birthday and then made it home in time to watch the second half of the rugby...

Monday

a sleep-in this morning before volunteering to do the grocery shopping...headed out in the afternoon to find two geo-caches with the whole household (except for Mickey the cat)...back to work tomorrow...
