Cricket & smoke...

let's see, we lost on sunday despite keeping the opposition to a relatively low score...but i was back amongst the wicket-takers so that's a good thing...

monday was umpiring, this time a one sided affair between NSW & WA at Kingston...it was all over by 2pm...called into work but not to do any work (most people don't think i do any anyway!), just to print off some stuff i needed that i didn't have at home...

jodie & suze were at the cyberbunker in mitchell so i ran there from home...

the stats:
start time: 5:20pm
total distance: 7.61k
total time: 42:22
avg pace: 5:34
total calories: 685
avg HR: 159

pretty good run given how hot it was (i consumed a bottle of water and a bottle of gatorade in good order)...

after that we went geocaching - headed to federation square to do one but didn't have all the bits of info we needed so switched to another one which was located at the back of Nicholls...an excellent hiding spot...

today i was umpiring ACT & WA at Chisholm...ended up being quite a close finish with the ACT getting up by 1 wicket chasing 197...

the smoke relates to the bushfire near Chisholm which we could see increasing and then decreasing as the helicopters swung into action...it was all happening...

suze has become obsessed with geocaching and has even placed her first cache near home...on the way back from chisholm i went in search of it hoping to be the first to find it but i was beaten to it...it only got approved yesterday and someone found it this morning!

tomorrow is the last day of the U19s...then i don't now what i'm doing with the rest of the week...maybe golf...maybe Customs on Friday...

saturday i have umpiring and then i'll be heading to sydney that night as my cricket is at wallsend (near newcastle) on sunday which will make for a long drive home sunday night (especially if we lose!)...
